The protea were in bloom when Agriculture Chair Rep. Clift Tsuji and other members of the House toured the Mealani Research Station in Kamuela on the Big Island Wednesday. Tsuji commented that tourism would serve as another form of revenue for farmers and would take agriculture to a new level.
