"We are so proud of these young athletes," said Rep. Eli (‘Ewa Villages, Kalaeloa, Honokai Hale, Nanakai Gardens, Ko ‘Olina, Kahe Point, Nānākuli, Lualualei, Mā‘ili). "They fought hard to earn this victory and are now going on to represent our state on the mainland."

The Hawks consist of 13 boys from seven different Leeward schools and bested 40 other teams to take the division honors at the Cal Ripken State Tournament on June 9.
The team is now raising funds to travel to California to represent Hawaiʻi in the 2019 Pacific Southwest Regional Tournament in July.
