This week, Vice Speaker John Mizuno's office raised over $1,000 for the Hawaii Foodbank through the Filipino Grindz plate lunch fundraiser at the Capitol.
The Filipino themed lunch included pork guisantes & pancit plate lunches, banana lumpia, and cascaron (fried Mochi Balls).
"I'm so proud of my staff, they did it all and in a few hours collected $1,000 for the Foodbank which provides food and meals to thousands of homeless and needy in our state," said Mizuno.
