HB1300 RELATING TO TAXATION
Requires the department of taxation to establish a system to allow taxpayers to file all tax returns, applications, reports, and other documents electronically; provided that there is no additional cost to the taxpayer for the electronic filing; reestablishes the last of the month as the deadline for filing and payment of general excise taxes. HB120 RELATING TO TELECOMMUTING
Provides an income tax credit to employers who allow their employees to telecommute. Prevents counties from limiting the practice of telecommuting unless the business activity generates excessive noise, dust, debris, or traffic in the area where the employee is engaged in telecommuting.

HB1551 RELATING TO TAX CREDITS
Amends the motion picture, digital media, and film production tax credit to provide a designated income tax credit for certain qualifying counties. Removes tax credit caps. Provides an additional bonus for qualifying spending related to computer aided special or visual effects and animation. Establishes a non-refundable tax credit with a carry forward period of up to ten years to encourage film production development in certain qualified counties. Allows for a certain exemption from the transient accommodation tax for stays exceeding thirty days. Permits certain production tax credits to be assigned. (BROWER)

HB238 RELATING TO TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDERS
Adds a mandatory prison term of 15 days and a fine of not less than $150 nor more than $600 for a person with certain prior convictions who is convicted for the first time for violation of a temporary restraining order. (SAY BR)

HB497 RELATING TO SEXUAL OFFENSES
Establishes class A and class B felony sex trafficking offenses. Includes sex trafficking offenses in the official proceedings or investigations that are to be given greatest priority for purposes of witness protection programs. (AWANA)

HB1407 RELATING TO ADOPTION RECORDS
Amends provisions of the code relating to adoption records and the secrecy of proceedings and records, allowing access to adoption records by parties to the proceedings under certain circumstances. (JORDAN BR)

Combines the electronic waste and television recycling programs. Requires recycling based on market share by weight. Changes the fee per pound for failing to recycle to an unspecified amount. Directs DOH to adopt rules to allow recycling of cathode ray tubes in Hawaii. (MORITA)

HB998 RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Requires businesses in the State to collect a 10 cent fee for each plastic disposable checkout bag provided to a customer. Authorizes businesses that develop their own disposable plastic checkout bag recycling program to retain 50 per cent of the fees collected. Establishes the energy sustainability special fund. HB823 RELATING TO TRAFFIC FINES AND FEES
Raises certain fines and fine ceilings for traffic offenses. Increases administrative fees for certain traffic offenses and allocates a portion of those moneys to the judiciary computer system special fund, judiciary facilities repair and maintenance special fund, and the general fund. (SAY)
