Purchase of Turtle Bay
SB2423, SD2 Relating to Land Acquisition. Directs the Governor, or the Governor's designee, to acquire lands owned by Kuilima Resort Company, Oaktree Capitol, LLC, and their successor in interest, commonly known as Turtle Bay Hotel and Resort located in Kahuku, Oahu.

Ignition Interlock Device
SB3234, SD2 Relating to Highway Safety. Requires installation of ignition interlock device on the vehicle of a person arrested for driving under the influence that prevents the person from starting or operating a motor vehicle with more than a minimal alcohol concentration while the person's case in pending and while the person's license is revoked pursuant to chapter 291E, HRS.

Waiving driver's test
SB2094, SD2 Relating to Driver Licenses. Permits the examiner of drivers to waive the test of knowledge of the rules of the road for applicants holding a valid driver's license from another state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, a province of the Dominion of Canada, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Island, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Republic of Palau, or any of the federal government's political subdivisions, territories, or commonwealths.

Hybrids and HOV lanes
SB2365, SD1 Relating to Transportation. Provides that high occupancy vehicle lanes may be used by hybrid and other energy-efficient vehicles, regardless of the number of occupants.

Unattended Children in Motor Vehicles
SB2245, SD1 Relating to Unattended Children in Motor Vehicles. Makes it a violation of the statewide traffic code to leave a child unattended in a motor vehicle.
