Now What?

House Democrats have scheduled an emergency caucus tomorrow afternoon following Judge Joseph Cardoza's ruling this morning that the Hawaii Superferry cannot operate in Maui without first completing an environmental assessment.

The caucus will also be briefed on a meeting scheduled for this afternoon between Gov. Lingle, Senate President Hanabusa and Speaker Say.

Tomorrow, majority members will consider any proposed legislation to allow the Superferry to operate while the environmental assessment is being done, and whether there is support to hold a 5-day minimum special session.
