– Representative Stacelynn Eli is co-sponsoring a community meeting with the
U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and the Hawaii Department of Health to discuss the
restoration of the Ma‘ili Point former Voice of America Transmitter site.
At
the meeting a project team from the U.S. Coast Guard will discuss what was done
to complete the restoration of the transmitter site.
The
Department of Health will talk about the project and the next steps for the
site.
"Please
join us to hear what has been done and what is planned for the future at the
site," said Representative Eli (‘Ewa Villages,
Kalaeloa, Honokai Hale, Nanakai Gardens, Ko ‘Olina, Kahe Point, Nānākuli,
Lualualei, Mā‘ili). "I want to thank the Coast Guard and the Department of
Health for their work on this project and believe it will be a great benefit
for our community."
