HB2070 RELATING TO EDUCATION
Changes the terms of service for principals and vice principals from 12 months to 10 months. Returns principals and vice principals to 12-month terms of service if performance contracts for principals are established by the 2011-2012 school year. (TAKUMI)


HB1853 RELATING TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Disallows the sale of ice cream and candy by public schools in conformance to the State of Hawaii wellness guidelines. (TAKUMI)

HB1926 RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TOURISM
Establishes the department of business, economic development, and tourism operation special fund. Imposes a surcharge on the fees charged by certain departments for certain business- and commerce-related authorizations and services. Requires the deposit of the surcharge revenues, as well as $2 million from the financial institutions tax, into the special fund. Requires moneys in the special fund to be used for the operation of the department of business, economic development, and tourism. Takes effect on 7/1/10 and sunsets on 6/30/15. (CHOY)
